I am a photographer seduced by presentation. 

My work explores ideas about photographic appearance and the supporting elements, such as the frame, that usually compliment a piece.  Drawing on these thoughts, I offer a dialogue between the image, the concept, and the components usually looked at as framing or structural support, but can affect the way a piece is viewed and ultimately received.

I am drawn to the photographic object; drawn to the experience and context of the work as an entity, not just an image.  It is a balance, combining the act of photographing with the endless possibilities of how to present that image after the shutter is snapped.  In the end, the photograph is a catalyst, a vehicle that can strengthen the final piece, final frame, and final artistic object.

In approaching presentation as a medium, I examine ideas about traditional framing and exhibition practices within the arts and photography and strive to offer a conversation between the presented object and viewer.
