the warrior motel
__________________
TITLE:
The Warrior Motel Room 21, Whittier, NC 2011
STATEMENT:
Discovered off of a small North Carolina highway, The Warrior Motel evokes notions of abandonment and motel lodging being a temporary substitute for the comforts of home. Despite being open to the elements, some rooms are still intact leaving behind memories of their former occupants. Others are eerily bare, revealing a box like structure that holds little or no emotional connotations.

Giclee Prints

everything here is slightly plastic
__________________
TITLE:
359 miles to the East, a drug dog was about to sniff our Enterprise rental car. Bill, WY, 2009
STATEMENT:
Often referring to my digital camera as my 'sketchbook', Everything Here is Slightly Plastic, combines those digital journal entries with written chronicles to bring the mediums of photography and writing together in one piece. Often trying to merge the satirical with the empirical, I have either written directly about the photograph or have used the image's 'character' to inspire a sentence. Everything Here is Slightly Plastic creates a bond between image and title that is sometimes frivolous and other times significant.
MEDIUM:
Giclee Prints
PRINT SIZES:
9 x 12in, 12 x 16iin, & 18 x 24in
